What is Steubenville?
Most of us know the name "Steubenville" to refer to the summer conference our youth group goes to every year, but did you know the name comes from a city? The city of Steubenville, Ohio is on the Ohio River about 40 miles outside of Pittsburgh. Steubenville is also the home of Franciscan University of Steubenville which sponsors all of the youth conferences all over the North America. This is the place where the youth conferences began in 1976 through the leadership of Fr. Mike Scanlan, TOR.
