Ministry Team for Steubenville Northwest

Steubenville Northwest is sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville and Spiritus Ministries. In 2004, they began working together to provide a powerful weekend of evangelization for Catholic teens. Located at the Spokane Convention Center, Steubenville Northwest provides a setting for developing a deeper relationship with Jesus through a weekend conference centered on Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Host: Paul George

Paul George is a husband, father, and follower of Jesus.  He and his wife, Gretchen, have been full-time missionaries serving the mission of Jesus Christ and his Church for the past 16 years. A passionate believer and communicator of the Gospel, Paul has traveled the world proclaiming God’s love and freedom as a parish youth minister, diocesan director, and full-time evangelist. He holds a master’s degree in theological studies from the University of Dallas. Paul co-founded and directs ADORE ministries, a missionary organization that calls all people to worship God with their entire lives. He also directs the diocesan Offices of Evangelization and Young Adult Ministry in his home of Houma, Louisiana, where he resides with his wife and four children, Marie, Jacob, Sarah, and Clare.

Worship Leader: Ben Walther

Ben Walther began writing songs that expressed the communal faith of himself and his friends while serving as a worship leader in college. The release of his first album, Where I Want to Be, launched a season of traveling, giving Ben and the band a chance to share their story of hope in God's abundant blessings (see John 10:10). For the past few years, Ben has enjoyed a fruitful ministry in Houston, Texas, and beyond, and in June 2008, he released a six-song EP in a collaborative effort by Robbie Seay of Sparrow Records and Matt Maher. The most profound blessings in Ben's life, however, are his lovely wife, Maria, and their five daughters.

Entertainment & Presenter: Popple

Kyle and Dan make up the Catholic Acoustic-Humor-Rock band "Popple." They travel around North America playing music and telling mildly funny jokes about being Catholic. Dan has two very differently sized feet, Kyle has a son named Sebastian (but you can call him Gizmo). They are both married and live in northern Indiana.

Presenters

Mary Bielski

Mary Bielski graduated from Marquette University with a double major in Theology and Psychology. As a volunteer youth minister for ten years and the founder of ALL4HIM Ministries in 2006, Mary travels and speaks around the nation at high school and college retreats and conferences, including Steubenville Youth Conferences, Life Teen-Inspiration, and parish and diocesan rallies. After six years of pharmaceutical sales in South Bend, Indiana, Mary has taken her ministry full time seeking to engage, ignite, and inflame hearts to live totally for the Lord. Through humorous skits and energizing presentations, Mary draws youth to the beauty of our Catholic faith, a deeper love for Christ, the Eucharist, and the call to holiness. Fr. Jose Robles-Sanchez

Father José Robles-Sanchez is the pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. When he works with young people, he loves to provide opportunities for them to find a true and constant life in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the center of life for the Church and absolutely must be the center of life for the youth. He loves challenging young people to have a better commitment with Christ and the Church, as this will help them live their call to holiness in their own culture and their own life. Let’s be holy.
